This year, we're going to try to keep section to just a few threads to see if it is easier to connect this way.

If you're a runner looking to find a team, please post on this thread.  Your name, where you're from, your contact info, and what you're looking to get out of the relay are all things that would be good to include in your post.  If you find a team, please come back to delete your post so that other teams don't call or email you.

Thanks!   - jay

<P>My name is Andrew.  I live in Portland, TX outside of Corpus Christi.  I read about this relay last year running in the Beach to Bay Marathon Relay.   I've competed in several 1/2 marathons with times under 2 hours and countless 5 K's.  I'm looking to join a team in need of another runner.  I'm pretty familiar with the coarse with friends in Gonzalez, Columbus, and Houston.  I actually lived a few miles from the San Jacinto monument for about 4 years so I am familiar with the Houston area also.  I'm in this for the fun and the joy of treking across this state.  Your can contact me at <A href="mailto:andrew.martini@christushealth.org" target=_blank>andrew.martini@christushealth.org</A>.  </P>

Hi my name is Nicole and I live in Katy, Texas.  Jan 18 I'll be running in my third marathon.  I run comfortably at an 11 minute pace.  Maybe even faster.  I'm interested in running the relay for the experience.  Anyone seeking a member, my email is nveazie@yahoo.com.  Thanks!

Hi, My name is Nestor Raul.  I am a graduate (old) student at the Univ. of Southern Miss.  I read about the TIR relay a couple of minutes ago and decided to give it a shot and write in the forum just to see whether there is a team still looking for a last minute addition to its roster.  I live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, so I would drive on Friday to be able to get to the race.  I am a recreational runner; I can run between 7:30-9:30 pace.  I have run a couple of marathons, half marathons, and a lot of 5ks.  I also like to organize relay teams for marathons in our local running club, the Pine Belt Pacers (<A href="http://www.pinebeltpacers.org" target=_blank target=_blank>http://www.pinebeltpacers.org</A>.  I love team events; it is a lot of fun!  If someone could use me for a team, just let me know.  You can contact me at the following e-mail <A href="mailtoijume@hotmail.com" target=_blank target=_blank>pijume@hotmail.com</A>  - Thanks!  Gracias amigos!<BR>

My name is Matt. I'm 29 and live in Spring, just north of Houston. I'll be running the RAGNAR race which is a couple weeks after this race, but just cannot pass up the opportunity to run more with others who enjoy it as much as I do. I've never officially ran any marathons or half marathons. But I have run many 13-20 mile fun runs of my own, all of which were under 1:50 for my 1/2 marathon pace (or 8 minute miles if you prefer to look at times that way). I think I'd prefer a team with closer to 8 runners (just so I could run more), but I really just want to run. My email is zmoleczku@yahoo.com.

Hi, my name is Colin and i am looking to join a team for the upcoming 2010 race. i have ran a few marathons and ran the TIR last year. due to injury i did not join a team with friends but now that i am recovering i am looking to join another team, my pace is usually around a 7-8 min mile, although last year i was running alot faster, very competitive and so got the most roadkill on my team, 13 people! looking for a team of around 9 or ten fast runners and preferably from houston.

extremely easy going gay irish guy, 25 and looking for a team around the same age, had a total blast last year and am looking for the same again for the next one

hope to be running with you soon

cheers
